My name is Michael D. Hass, CFSP, I have lived in Clayton, New Mexico most of my life and I am a 1988 graduate of Clayton High School. I attended The University of Colorado and Adams State College, and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1991. I worked for French Mortuary in Albuquerque from 1991 until 1994 when he returned to Clayton to join my father James E. Hass, CFSP at Hass Funeral Directors and took over operation of the Funeral Home when he retired in 2007.

I am currently licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in New Mexico and Texas, and I am serving as President of the New Mexico Funeral Service Association. I have also been a Field Deputy Medical Investigator in Union County for the Office of the Medical Investigators since 1997.

Michael’s family includes his wife, Sharon Hass, and 5 children, D.J. Hass, Kelsey Hass, Allen Hass, Kristen Lanier and Lindsey Lanier.

Laura graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1976. She graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service with the Fall Class of 1993. Following her graduation she accepted an Apprenticeship with French Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM in the fall of 1993.

Laura worked at French Mortuary until May 1, 1999 when she moved back to her home state of Wyoming to manage a funeral home in Powell, Wyoming.

Laura came to Denton-Wood Funeral Home on January 10, 2006. I have been given a rare opportunity to work for an ethical community-minded, family-owned and operated firm in Southern New Mexico., states Laura. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of New Mexico and a licensed Embalmer in the State of Wyoming. Her focus is doing everything that she can to help when meeting with families. Laura strives to be sensitive and compassionate to their every need at the worst possible time in their life. She is a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and serves as an ambassador at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.

Laura has three children: Ashley, Erin and Todd, and two adorable granddaughters, Tegan and Alexa.

My name is Dante Gutierrez-Zamora.  I came to the United States from Mexico at the age of five and have called Albuquerque my home for the last 37 years.  I served in the United States Marine Corps after high school graduation.  After the military, I worked several jobs and attended the University of New Mexico prior to finding my calling in Funeral Service.  I have been a Funeral Director for the last fifteen years.  I am married to a wonderful woman, Leurisa Gutierrez-Zamora, who is an elementary teacher here in Albuquerque.  I have three great children: John Patrick, Gemini Ruth and Marcel Emilio.  I love riding motorcycles and dancing.  I'm also an avid soccer fan.

J. Craig Glover, CFSP, was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. He first entered funeral service in Amarillo in 1976 working for the N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Home while still in high school. Upon graduation, he married the former Rebecca Jane Alsobrook and they raised 3 daughters and a son. Craig and Rebecca also have 4 grandchildren. Craig is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He graduated with honors from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Much of his career was in Texas before moving to New Mexico in 2000. He currently owns and operates Director's Choice, LLC, a mortuary service, in Albuquerque.

R. Kent House was born and raised in Alamogordo, NM where he served his internship at Hamilton Funeral Home.  He graduated with honors from University of Central Oklahoma and returned to NM to work at French Mortuary in Albuquerque where he received his Funeral Directors License in 1985 and was the Director of Embalming.  He returned to Alamogordo in 1991 to work at Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home.  He and his wife Lisa opened PCS Crematory in 2003; PCS Direct Cremation Service in 2005; purchased the Alamogordo Funeral Home in 2005 and Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home in 2009. Kent has served as NFDA Policy Board Representative and was a member of the Government Relations Committee.  He served as President of the NMFSA Board in 1999-2000 and is excited about contributing to our profession again.  He is currently serving on the NMFSA Legislative Committee and encourages all interested parties to join the committee, whether they are a member of NMFSA or not.  He has a strong sense of community and has served in numerous community organizations.  He has a passion for funeral service and the people they serve.  He considers it an honor to serve the people of his community and the funeral service profession of New Mexico. Kent is married to Lisa Durrett House.  They have two children, Micela House and Mark House.

My name is, Sterling D. Leishman, CFSP.  I have been a funeral director/embalmer for 27 years.  I have practiced in Utah, New Mexico, and Texas.  I am currently a funeral director/embalmer at French Mortuary in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Funeral Directing is a calling and one that I love.  I can't imagine doing anything else.  Helping family's through their darkest hour is rewarding and fulfilling.  I have been on the New Mexico Funeral Service Association Board since 2005, and have enjoyed the relationships with the men and women on the board as well at the funeral professionals throughout the State.  My wife's name is Laurie and I have four children; Natalie Zundel, Tyler and Michael Leishman, and Austin Munn.  I also have two grandchildren; Maximus Leishman and Jaeli Zundel.
